Herbfest has been an Ottawa Valley tradition for twelve years and is a must-attend event for those interested in herbs, gardening, cooking and living a healthy lifestyle. Throughout the day there are lots of activities to enjoy including live music, dance and demonstrations galore. The chef's cook-off and garden tours are also popular every year.
August 15, 2010 - Women's Art Festival - City Park Kingston ON
The Women's Art Festival was started in the late 70's by a group of women who were interested in promoting the work of women artists. This outstanding annual one day rain or shine festival has always operated the third Sunday of August. The original concept for the festival has, for the most part, remained unchanged.
This unique, rain or shine art festival has four facets:
- Fundraising for local women's organizations
- Celebrating women's creativity through the arts
- Providing a forum for artists to display their work and meet other artists
- Encouraging women to meet, exchange ideas and
connect with women's organizations
Join us on August 15th, 2010 in City Park, Kingston, Ontario to enjoy the day and help us support the worthwhile projects of the following women's groups who continue to make a difference in our community.

The second annual Merrickville Artisan's Show will highlight thirty-five of the regions premier artisans showing their very exquisite creations. The artisans display under large white marquee tents,in a new redisigned format that will allow excellent viewing for the consumers and excellent protection from the elements.
This years vendors will sell products in the following catagories: Art, Photography, Spa Products, Food Products, Woodworking, Textiles, Jewellery, Glass, Decorative Metal Painting, Basketry, Fabric and more catagories are promised.
This exhibition and sale shares the same grounds with the Merrickville Antique Show and surpasses in value for the thousands of visitors to Merrickville
